Two Freaking Poems | By Rohan Biswas | Phoenix

The Door Seemed Too Far

My hands trembled while my heart sank.
I sat at the corner of the room, scared.
The door seemed too far,
And my energy, long lost.
I rubbed my hands,
Massaged my fingers.
I covered my face,
Then pressed my forehead.
Breathing heavily, each breath
More difficult than the last.

The door seemed too far,
While I lay shattered.
I cannot open it myself this time,
I knew.
And so I hoped,
That someone must come,
Open it for me.
Cause this time,
I truly can't.
